Dokken, California's sensational metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saban Theater!
Dokken was formed in Los Angeles in 1979 by vocalist and guitarist Don Dokken. He recruited drummer Greg Pecka and bassist Steven R. Barry to complete the line up and they released their debut single shortly thereafter. The band's been through many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Don Dokken (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), George Lynch (guitar), Mick Brown (drums), Jon Levin (guitar), and Chris McCarvill (bass). Their musical style is best described as a blend of hard rock (a loosely defined subgenre of rock music featuring heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards), heavy metal (a subgenre of rock that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s and features a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness), and glam metal (a genre that blends heavy metal and hard rock, adding blues and catchy pop influenced hooks and guitar riffs, while borrowing from the fashion of 1970s glam rock). They've had a stellar career with 11 studio albums (3 of which have been certified Platinum in the US), 5 live albums, 6 compilation albums, 1 extended play, and 14 singles.
Don't miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to hard rock, heavy metal, and glam metal music!
