Timothy B. Schmit, California's sensational rock and country artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Saban Theater!
Timothy Bruce Schmit was born in Oakland (California) in 1947 and is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He began his musical journey by learning to the play the violin and it wasn't long before he was trying his hand at the trombone, ukulele, and guitar. In high school, he discovered he had a good voice for singing and he would folk songs with his friends. He said in an interview, "I had two friends who were into folk songs, the Kingston Trio and stuff like that. They had three guys and we all went over to that third guy’s house. So I’m there for the first time and I sang some harmony and that’s the last time they used that third guy." He went on to join renowned country rock band Poco in 1970 and 7 years later, he became the bassist/vocalist for legendary rock band, the Eagles. The band split up in 1980 and Timothy decided to pursue a solo career. He went on to release 6 studio albums, 4 singles, and he's also collaborated with many top artists including Steely Dan, Ringo Starr, Jimmy Buffet and Crosby Stills and Nash. He was inducted (as a member of the Eagles) into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
