Todd Rundgren, Pennsylvania’s sensational pop and rock artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Saban Theater!

Todd Harry Rundgren was born in Upper Darby (Pennsylvania) in 1948 and is a singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi instrumentalist. His musical style is best described as a blend of art rock (a subgenre of rock music that generally reflects a challenging or avant-garde approach to rock, and is often distinguished by the use of electronic effects and easy listening textures far removed from the propulsive rhythms of early rock), progressive rock (a broad subgenre of rock music that grew out of psychedelic bands who abandoned standard traditions in favour of instrumentation and compositional techniques more frequently associated with jazz, folk or classical music), progressive pop, soul, and electronic. He’s had a stellar career with 21 studio albums, 2 live albums, 10 compilation albums, 2 video albums, 4 music videos, 1 extended play, and 21 singles. He’s done production work for Halfnelson (first incarnation of Sparks), New York Dolls, Badfinger, Grand Funk Railroad, Hall and Oates, Ian and Sylvia (on their Great Speckled Bird album), Meat Loaf, Patti Smith, Shaun Cassidy, The Tubes, Tom Robinson Band, XTC, Bad Religion, John Sloman, Cheap Trick, and many others.

Don’t miss your chance to see the musical maverick who can create the sweetest pop and the densest art rock, sometimes putting the two extremes on the same album!
