Wilson Philips, Los Angeles' sensational pop artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saban Theater!
Wilson Philips was formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by Carnie and Wendy Wilson (daughters of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys) and Chynna Phillips (daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas and the Papas). Their musical style is best described as a blend of pop, pop rock (a genre that originated in the 1950s, influenced by the beat, arrangements, and style of rock and roll but with a greater emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft), adult contemporary (popular radio music, ranging from 1960s vocal and 1970s soft rock music to predominantly ballad heavy music of the present day, with varying degrees of easy listening, pop, soul, rhythm and blues, and rock influence), and soft rock (a sub genre of pop music that largely features acoustic guitars and slow to mid tempos). They’ve had a stellar career with 5 studio albums (2 of which were top 10 hits in the US, the UK, and Canada), 2 compilation albums, and 13 singles (3 of which hit #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts). They've received many accolades including a Billboard Music Award and 7 Grammy Award nominations.
